The first step of the process to link the Instruction Department, Physiotherapy Department and the Strength and Conditioning Department is for the player to have a Physical Assessment.
The Golf Physical Assessment (GPA)
The Golf Physical Assessment (GPA) is completed to identify the following:
Combined, the MBA and GPA help to identify your body’s physical limitations and weaknesses.
This gives us the platform to personalize a strength and conditioning prorgramme to help improve your golf swing.
A GPA is a short hour long testing procedure where we test, assess and analyse the following:
This process allows us to identify dysfunctions that could be limiting a players swing and the ability to improve, or could potentially lead to injuries in the future.
This information is then used to design a completely personalised exercise program that will not only help improve your body and your golf, but reduce the likelihood of developing injuries that may impact your continued enjoyment of the game, as well as improving your overall lifestyle health and wellbeing.
The Institute of Golf Strength and Conditioning Specialists work directly with the instruction department and physiotherapy department to ensure that you achieve your goals.
