Brad Takai is the Director, and senior physiotherapist for the Institute of Golf. He is a graduate of AUT with a bachelor of health science in Physiotherapy. Brad has developed a special interest in the muscle balance assessment and treatment of golfers. His passion for the game of Golf and the enjoyment of seeing his clients achieve great results has inspired him to develop his own unique formulas in Golf Physiotherapy.
Brad’s personal philosophy is to “Treat the cause, not the symptoms”, and takes great pleasure in being able to use this to maximize not only his clients golf performance, but also their overall health, well-being and resilience. Brad enjoys integrating his physiotherapy and golf bio mechanics with the other members of the IOG team to help each individual reach their goals.
Brad prides himself on quality and excellence, ensuring the highest standard of service for every individual.
Jonny Gladwell is a Physiotherapist for the Institute of Golf. His dedication to excellence and his studies of the Golf body/swing link made him and ideal member of the Institute of Golf. Jonny Graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a bachelor of health science in Physiotherapy in 2008.
Physiotherapy plays an integral part in the multi-disciplinary approach of the Institute of Golf. Jonny’s treatments increase player performance on the course whilst preventing injury. Jonny’s clinical reasoning allows him to provide clients with an intelligent plan and pathway to achieve their goals.
Rebecca completed her Physiotherapy Degree at AUT in 2009. She has just gained her Level One IOG Certification in 2010 and has been working at the Institute since the start of 2010.
Rebecca has a passion for all sports and enjoys a good balance between health and fitness, and spending time with family and friends. She has representative New Zealand in tennis over the years and has a large involvement in many community sports teams.
Rebecca has a keen interest in sports injury and prevention and looking at individual muscle balance programs to optimise individual performance, health and wellness.
