The Institute of Golf works with any player who is willing, ready and prepared to improve. All players irrelevant of ability or level are welcome at the Institute of Golf. So many good players come to us because they believe in what we coach and the systems we have in place.
We pride ourselves on providing the most comprehensive player centered programs available. We provide players the pathway to achieve their goals and our players achieve their objectives through a supported process.
We advise that each player has a primary coach and that the players can utilize the specialized services of our other professionals on a requirement basis.
A quick fix is nowadays being prescribed as a first prescription. It is our opinion this should be a last resort. Our goal with each player is to develop him or her into the player that they dream to be. This is done by implementing a specifically designed performance program from the Institute of Golf, not a quick fix.
This is a myth. Once the player achieves the improvements we prescribe, then they will improve. Players can be worse by simply not achieving the movement correctly. Often the improvements take time but the rate of improvement is in the hands of the player.
We identify weaknesses and work on fundamentals. By working through this process, every player will improve.
We will often use cameras to establish an understanding with the player. We utilize the player’s individual learning style to optimize performance. If players improve faster by utilizing technology tools such as cameras, then we will incorporate this into the program.
Players have the option of purchasing specific range memberships. The specific type of practice process is designed based on the information gathered in the IOG Screening.
Yes, we coach from 7am – 7.30pm during the week, and 8am – 12pm on Saturday. So there is plenty of time to see us if you have a 9 – 5.
All coaches are PGA and IOG Certified, both Craig and Guy are AAA Class members of the NZPGA. This is the highest possible accreditation.
Our coaches continue to learn and improve. It is compulsory for each IOG coach to gain 2 forms of up skill learning per year. We believe that those that choose to teach, must never cease to learn.
The revolutionary inter-departmental communication systems developed by the IOG ensure that all departments communicate efficiently and effectively when required.
