The first step of the improvement process is for a player to have an IOG Screening assessment with the instruction department.
Whether you’re a seasoned Professional, a budding amateur or a social golfer, our Screening program is the necessary start in helping you take the first step in improving your game.
To play efficient and effective golf it is important to improve on three key areas. Consistency, accuracy and power. At the Institute of Golf we provide you with a clear precise pathway to ensuring you reach your goals. Our Screening process is a data collection method designed by the IOG team to enable us to collect the nessesary information to make the improvements as fast, cost efficient, effective and forever lasting as possible.
As a player centered performance team it is our job to find out:
Our IOG Screening assessment is a short 90-minute data collection process where we test, assess, establish and analyse the following:
This process allows us to identify what we need to do and incorporate to help each player individually. We give the example of going to see a doctor, a paitent goes to see a doctor and has to undergo a number of tests, discuss symptoms and then the doctor gets the data from the tests. Then the prescription is made. Similarly we do not just jump in, we take data, assess then prescribe the best pathway to reach the players goals.
The Institute of Golf Instruction Team then discuss any specific findings with the other supporting departments to provide the necessary information to provide the most comprehensive program possible.
This information is then used to design a completely personalised improvement programme that is emailed to the player within a 48 hour window. This is called an IOG PDP, Institute of Golf Player Development Programme.
