The Institute of Golf would like to publicly acknowledge the generous support shown by the directors of KEA Property Group, David and Deirdre McAlpine, in support of the 2011 Future Stars programmes. Their support has meant that we will truly be able to make these revolutionary programmes for our juniors something special.

The Institute is extremely proud of the relationship we have held with David, Deirdre and KEA since their son Scott began his training with us in 2002. Since then Scott has enjoyed a hugely successful amateur career both within New Zealand and offshore, all of which enabled him to secure a scholarship at the University of Georgia in the US. Even though Scott’s career has moved offshore, he always returns for tune ups when he is at home. We are also pleased to have both David and Deirdre under our tutelage.

The McAlpine’s selfless support of the Institute’s junior development and pathway programmes is a true reflection of their desire to see more young New Zealand players strive for and achieve similar successes and rewards as Scott.
