Michael Hendry (igolf)has chalked up another strong performance finishing in a share of 11th place in the Thailand Open on the OneAsia Tour yesterday.
Hendry fired a final round two-under par 70 to finish on 12-under at the Burapha Golf Club in Pattaya to finish six shots behind winner Wenchong Liang (China).
The New Zealander got himself into contention mid-round with a brilliant eagle on the par-5 10th hole to move within two shots of the lead. However his aggressive approach going all-out for victory led to bogeys on the 15th and 17th holes.
Liang remains No 1 on the OneAsia rankings ahead of YE Yang with Hendry at No 4.
Of the other New Zealanders in the field Gareth Paddison shot a final round 71 to finish in a share of 32nd place on six-under while Josh Carmichael , Michael Long and Hamish Robertson (igolf)share 59th placing on even par.
